Cattle Drives and Working Ranches (Montana)
The Bucking S Ranch is located in the heart of Wyoming, "The Cowboy State". They are situated along the Seminoe-Alcova Scenic Backway on an altitude of 6,500 feet to over 8,000 feet and are surrounded by the Seminoe and Shirley Mountains. The next town, Alcova, is over 30 miles away and they are in the middle of open range cattle country - where cattle have right of way even on the road and they make use of it.

Bucking S is a traditional working cattle ranch and they enjoy sharing their home and ranch life with guests. In order to provide you with a unique and personal ranch vacation, guests are limited to a maximum of ten per week. Upon request, the ranch also offers 'adults only' weeks. Main activities revolve around horseback riding and cattle work. Small guest numbers allow customization of the length of rides to your expectations and level of experience. You can choose from short, half-day, all-day or even two-day rides with an overnight cow camp. Wranglers will be happy to provide riding instructions and you can always rely on their help and hints during all rides.

World Class Accommodations
Lake Creek is a clear, gravel-bottom river that flows approximately 65 miles south from its headwaters near Mt. McKinley to its mouth at the confluence of the glacial Yentna River. A short 35 minute floatplane flight from Anchorage is all that stands between you and the world-renowned fishing of Lake Creek. The lodge is located approximately 55 miles northwest of Anchorage in the remote Alaskan wilderness and is only accessible by boat or floatplane.

Lake Creek starts at the base of Mount McKinley and runs 65 miles to the Yentna River. It is a clear, gravel-bottom river where all species of Pacific Salmon flock to spawn each year. Our lodge sits approximately 1.5 miles from the mouth of Lake Creek.
